Thanks for your generosity

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Community Development Center, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible generosity and kindness shown by so many in our local community. After the unfortunate theft of the initial donation of blankets from my car, I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from individuals near and far.

A special thank you is extended to Cary Cox, executive assistant to the Mayor of Rocky Mount, for stepping forward with immediate support and rallying others to contribute. Your leadership and compassion were instrumental in turning a challenging situation into an opportunity for unity and goodwill.

I also want to thank everyone who responded to the call for help through social media, sharing our story, donating blankets, and spreading the word. It was inspiring to witness the power of community action as so many came together to not only replace what was lost but to go above and beyond by donating even more than we could have imagined.

Your generosity has ensured that many more individuals in need will stay warm this winter, and for that, we are profoundly grateful. This collective act of kindness is a testament to the strength of our community and the difference we can make when we come together to support one another.
